Don’t Try…Die
Sermon text: Galatians 2:20 Many followers of Christ live what could be called a Christian lifestyle. They pursue choices that they believe match up with Scripture and avoid those which don’t. There’s nothing wrong with this. In fact, it’s commendable to wanting to live in accordance with biblical standards. But it’s also easy for this to tip into religion. And Christians aren’t called to be religious. We’re called to be surrendered to Jesus.
Jesus is Knocking (Revelation 3:20)
The focal verse is often used to speak of Jesus calling unbelievers to repentance. Pastor Chuck points out that Jesus also calls believers to repentance. When there’s broken fellowship with Jesus, that’s not because of Him. It’s the result of sin and pride in our lives. Is Jesus knocking on the door of your heart?
God’s Got This! (Exodus 3:12)
When Moses encountered God at the burning bush his life changed. God had a mission for Moses: he was to lead the children of Israel out of captivity and to the Promised Land. Moses’ initial response was that he was not up to the task. God’s response is the basis for this sermon. He gave Moses two assurances which we can also count on as we serve our Lord.
